"Dorjee Sherpa organized our 24 day custom trek in October 2004 from Lukla to Goyko Ri, Chola Pass, Kala Pathar and Everest Base Camp. He provided a much greater level of service compared to other treks that we have made with US based adventure travel companies. The Sherpa to client ratio was higher, so that each client gets much more personal attention and support. Also the equipment was top notch and the food better. We will trek again with him in the future and recommend him highly .

Did a great trek up to 18,500 feet at Kala Pator above Everest base camp in 2000 with a small party where Dorgee was one of our leading Sherpas. We were very well looked after and Dorgee was always very attentive and keen to ensure we got the best, most safely, out of our visit to Nepal. Speaking good English, his presence and help was much appreciated by us all. I'd love to trek in Nepal again and would not hesitate to ask Dorgee to lead it. We keep in touch regularly by email and I wish him every success with his business.

"Nepal - a dream come true"

 

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Nepal in October 2009. It was one of our favourite trips! Memories to last a lifetime. We spent a few days in Kathmandu, a few nights in Pokara and a trek in Anurpurna region. We have to thank our guide, as it couldn't have been possible without him!

I booked our sherpa guide from Singapore, a referral from a friend. It was a leap of faith, as I'd never met him or spoke to him before. It's important to have a good guide, as there are opportunities on the trek to see beautiful Himalayan vistas which are not necessarily on the beaten track.

If you're planning a trip to Nepal, I'd highly recommend our sherpa Dorgee. He organized our trek for us, the accommodations and took good care of us. His hospitality was genuine and gave us such a wonderful impression of Nepal. Dorgee is very experienced and knowledgeable, as he is a real Sherpa from the Everest region. Not like the bulk of other guides which are city born and 'trained' - not true sherpas. These guides will be able to organize the trip for you and lead you through the trek, but they won't know the mountains as well as the sherpas. We met a number of trekkers along the way and had nothing but complaints about their guides.

We consider ourselves lucky to have met Dorgee Sherpa.

Dorgee was a fantastic guide for our trek on the Annapurna Circuit. He was able to find a trail that exposed us to the beauty of the area, and also matched our crazy travel schedule. He even arranged our flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

The trek was amazing--with new terrain and stunning views every day. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend there!
